Distance: It is described as path length of an object I.e.,total path travelled by an object. It is scalar quantity.

Displacement : It is shortest distance covered by an object. It is vector quantity.

Speed: It is the ratio of distance travelled by time of journey. Mathematically it can be represented as dx/dt (calculus concept) . You will study in upcoming posts. Speed is a scalar quantity.

Velocity: It is the ratio of displacement to time of journey. It is also mathematically stated as dx/dt. It is vector quantity.

Acceleration : It is the ratio of change in velocity to time of journey. It is mathematically represented as dv/dt where dv is change of velocity and dt is time of journey. It is vector quantity.
